At Central Water Works, Inc., our goal is to provide safe, clean, drinking water to all of our members! Our water system was founded in 1965 by a group of local residents who wanted a way to deliver a reliable and safe drinking water supply to this community. From that small beginning, we have grown to over 1,025 active customers with a service area that covers 70 square miles and reaches south past West Bogia Road in McDavid, Florida, through Byrneville, and north to Flomaton, Alabama.
Our water is pumped from the Sand and Gravel Aquifer, a large underground body of water. This water source is so clean and free from outside contaminants, we only add anti-bacterial treatment and a little lime as a water softening agent.
Please note: We do not add fluoride to our water supply. Fluoride is a contaminant that is regulated by Florida Department of Environmental Protection and for which we test at regular intervals.
